David and Mac popped in on their way home from nursery and bought some of the lovely beauties (he's definitely in my good books now!).Yes I took this picture with my new camera and yes Mr Ayres.......these are two of your yummy buns!

I'm sure there's a bun pun in there somewhere, but I shall be the bigger man and just say that yes, you have a wonderful husband, and yes, your camera works jolly well. I have to call DH now and tell him to bring hot cross buns home.......this baby has a lot to answer for!
Ooh, DH has to get some from Ayres - if you need some directions let me know! The baby won't want any other buns after s/he's tasted these babies. So to speak!
OK, far be it from me to point out that hot cross buns are for EASTER and that it is not even Shrove Tuesday until tomorrow, following which we are supposed to have 40 days and nights of abstention from anything slightly delicious.

PM - I'm giving up coffee AND chocolate, I can't be expected to give up anything else! Ayres is on Nunhead Lane in Sarf East London, email me if you need more detailed instructions. I promise you it's worth it.....so are their cakes, bread, filled rolls.....

Coffee AND chocolate? You are hardcore. Maybe I should give up coffee. (Never drink it anyway...)
Well, last year I gave up just the chocolate and found it a breeze (truth be told I'm not a great chocolate fan anyway) so thought I'd go mad this year. So far so good!
